Mobile Fit & Wellness provides SPECIFIC, TARGETED information from your Body, about your Body. We do not guess or estimate based on a formula – we measure your Body and obtain the data you need to create and maximize a personal fitness and nutrition plan.
CALORIE USE TESTING USING REEVUE
Our Metabolic Testing measures the oxygen that the body consumes. Using this measurement it calculates the number of calories that an individual burns at rest in a day. This technique is called Indirect Calorimetry.
Accurate – Our testing method has been validated against the clinical standard metabolic cart used in hospitals and universities, and has demonstrated equivalent accuracy for both oxygen consumption and resting energy expenditure.
What to Expect:
1. RELAX. It is important that you be able to reach a resting state during your test. You should avoid activities such as exercise for at least two hours prior to your test. Digesting a large meal, as well as taking stimulants, such as caffeine, can raise your metabolic rate and should also be avoided prior to your test.
2. GET HOOKED UP. You will be sitting comfortably while being tested. You will be given a disposable mouthpiece to breathe through, which measures how much oxygen you are breathing out.
3. BREATHE. Finally, you just sit back and breathe. This takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes. The more relaxed and even your breathing, the quicker it will be able to determine your resting metabolic rate.
